Check out the latest featured workout, brought to you by Mirja E - it's the Small Full Body Workout:

Small full body workout

Take 20 minutes out of your day and perform the 20 minute workout - go, go, GO!!

We'd love to know how you came up with the workout?

Mirja E profileThe workout includes my favourite exercises and I do those most often. They work my whole body but are relatively gentle with my joints.  And it only takes about 20 minutes to complete and who wouldn't want a nice full body workout in such a short time ;)

Which is the toughest part of the workout for you?

I love this workout because you only need your body to do the exercises but all of them can very easily be made just a bit harder too. For me, the toughest part is definately the plank. I can do side planks quite easily, but with regular plank my whole body starts shaking at around 10 seconds and even a minute is quite a hard mental challenge.

What your big sporting goal for the year is?

My biggest sporting goal has almost been achieved already - I have finally got back into the habit of exercising regularly rather than when my mood and lazyness allowed me to :D The trip from my couch to the door is still the hardest, but with some more work, I'm sure that will soon be a thing of the past. Another big thing I just started with, is running. In August I went for my very first voluntary run. All previous ones had been school compulsary runs in gym class or races in a sports camp. But in August I decided that it was time to ditch the last excuse I had and show my knees that I can indeed run. I found a plan and have stuck with it. My current personal best is 1 km without stopping but I hope to be able to run a 5k without stopping soon. When I achieve that, 2013 will most definately be the best sporting year  EVER :)
