Say It With Sweat Tabata Workout

Common myths about exercise and why Tabata training disproves them...

  1. You need to be a member of a gym - gym's are a great place to work out, you have showers and changing rooms and towels... you may also find all of these facilities in your own home or at your office! Tabata training requires a clock and some hard work, that's all. You don't need to be splashing out on expensive gym membership to get an intense workout in your day. Equipment wise, there are hundreds of different body weight exercises here on Tribesports which you can train with, no equipment necessary.

  2. Exercise means running - often followed with "and I don't like running", somehow the concept of "getting fit" has become synonymous with "being a runner" - it's nonsense! There are plenty of ways to exercise without running long distances or for hours on end. Tabata training can include a bit of running, but it would be higher intensity of shorter distances and usually mixed up with various other exercises too.

  3. You have to shower after exercise - what? You don't have a shower anyway?! Tabata training is a pretty sweaty session, but it's also very quick, so fitting it into your morning routine before you'd usually have a shower isn't too tough!

  4. It takes a long time - you need to commit to an exercise routine to get results, this is true, but each session of your training needn't be hours of your time. "I don't have time to work out" is probably the most common excuse for not exercising, Tabata training can be performed in 4 minutes (plus a quick warm up and cool down).
