SurfingWhich Tribesports Challenge has been your toughest and which are you most proud of?

Probably the 10km SUP Paddle over flat water. I did it in the ocean and paddling 10 km takes a lot of effort as I found out. Having said that, I have now done it a few times. It is amazing what you see in the water when paddling on a SUP particularly over reefs.

On one paddle I decided to go straight out to sea and ended up almost 7 kms out. That far out the water was black, deep and I must say I little bit...

Happy International Surfing Day! Who's making it out on the water today? In the 10th year of International Surfing Day (ISD), we thought we'd celebrate by going BIG!

Monday Inspiration: New record for biggest wave ever surfed!

Last Monday, world record holder Garrett McNamara stunned the world with his epic surfing!

The swell was huge off the coast of Nazaré, Portugal, when most surfers were writing off the day's surfing, Garrett was making sure his tow jet ski was good to go.

Reports are still speculating whether Garrett McNamara aka GMAC has broken his own record which he set in Nazaré in November 2011, riding a 78' wave. 

GMAC received the Biggest Wave Award in the Billabong XXL Awards in 2012...

The Stoke of a 2 Year Old

We have many parents here on Tribesports and there are often debates as to what activities you can do to get your kids active.

We found this video from Chet Hervey with his 2 year old son taking on the challenge to Ride his first wave solo. Anyone who's ever thought it's easier to plonk the kids in front of the TV can't deny the fact that the TV has never made their kid look this happy!
