Take the Jantastic New Year Challenge!
We're delighted to announce our partnership with Jantastic - the New Year fitness challenge.
If you've not heard of it - Jantastic is a unique and exciting free digital challenge that gives individuals and teams the structure and motivation to achieve their personal fitness, health and performance goals through the tough winter months. It's like a suped up Tribesports challenge.
The guys at Jantastic have ambitious goals for 2015 - they hope to see 100,000 people signing up to kick-start their New Year fitness and health programme, covering a total of 5 million miles of activity. For the first time, Jantastic participants will be able to set fitness targets in running, cycling and swimming (or a combination of the three) and will also have the option of raising money for charity as they commit to their fitness challenges.
Jantastic isn't just a challenge - it's a movement to try and make a real difference to fitness levels and engagement in exercise.
As you know, helping people to get active and achieve their sporting goals is a mission shared by Tribesports. The partnerships and platform that Jantastic have in place for 2015 really is unrivalled and we're encouraging all our members to sign up
Martin Yelling, co-founder of Jantastic, said, “Our goal is to be the ‘go to’ New Year’s fitness campaign, with participants challenging themselves by making and meeting personal health, fitness and performance targets that can bring about life-changing results. Jantastic is free to participate in, can be done in your own time and own your own terms, making it suitable for everyone. I’m delighted to be working with some great new partners for 2015, all of whom share our vision for Jantastic”.
Registration is free and should be done in December (NOW!) ahead of the challenge kicking off in the New Year. If you don't have another team to represent we'd love you to pick Tribesports when you register and we can all kick this challenges butt together!
Members of a team can pursue their own targets and goals - personally - I'm going to be targetting a sub 40 minute 10k and sub 19 minute 5k by April 2015. Best of luck everyone!
