Treat yourself with healthy (well healthier) chocolate desserts!

It's amazing how many eat-clean, train hard, never give-up athletes can be stopped in their tracks by a decent slice of chocolate dessert!

That's why we've asked some of the Tribesports bloggers to put together some of their healthier dessert options which don't leave out the cocoa - and as always, they've delivered some pretty delicious treats. These are easy to make and lower calories than your usual dessert options.

  1. Cocoa Oat Truffles

    These are really easy to make and have a smooth melt-in-the-mouth quality which will stop your sweet-cravings in their tracks! Anjali S (aka The Picky Eater)has put together this recipe which makes between 30 and 45 serving which are around 50 calories each.

  2. Healthy Chocolate and Peanut butter milkshake
    Peanut Butter and Chocolate milkshake
    Perhaps your sweet-tooth has a tendency towards drinks, this chocolate milkshake is a great treat as it uses frozen yoghurt rather than icecream. Rebecca S from Blueberry Smiles has added in peanut butter too so you get awesome flavours along with an extra boost of protein.

    Calling all cookie monsters! Megan F from Eat Simple Love Yoga has put together the recipe for these gluten-free cookies which are a great treat and have been 'health-ified'.

  4. Paleo No Bake Energy Bite Truffles

These little bites are ideal for anyone living a paleo-lifestyle and has a sweet tooth. Heidi B from Food Doodles has tons of amazing recipes for healthy (well healthier) dessert options.

These paleo energy bites combine delicious nuts and berries with a cheeky bit of dark chocolate to give your sweet tooth the hit it wants without tons of processed sugars.

There's the added bonus that there's no baking necessary so all you need is a mixing bowl and a refridgerator to set them.
