Karen F profileWhich Tribesports Challenge has been your toughest to complete and which are you most proud of?

One hundred push ups and 8 minute wall squat.  These two took me a long time to build up to and I'm not real keen to tackle either one again.  I am most proud of the challenges that I have to commit to for a time period.  Doing 20 push ups everyday for a month is great consistency.  I am currently working on 2 minute plank every day for a year and some nights I'll be brushing my teeth and remember that I have to drop and hold plank for 2 minutes before I can crawl in to bed.

You've logged a crazy amount of body weight exercises - which one do you struggle most with?

Believe it or not, JUMPING JACKS!  I feel the burn in my calves thighs core upper back and shoulders, plus my heart rate gets up like crazy.

Awesome family achievement running a 5km race together, will you be entering any more races with your family?

My husband and I run together a lot and we have since done a 10k, half marathon and are working towards a full marathon this year.  While my kids remain very active, they are sprinters.  I always tell them they run like soccer players (real fast for a short amount of time)  Endurance isn't really their thing, maybe when they are older.

How often do you practice yoga?

Camel poseI do a little bit of yoga everyday, nothing serious but I'll do a few poses that I know will stretch out the muscle group I worked that day.  Injury is one of my biggest fears so I have found that yoga can fix (and  prevent) just about everything.  Every 3 months or so I will take a week off from running and weight lifting to do strict yoga.

As a self-proclaimed foodie, what 3 meals would make it onto your dessert island menu?

Being a pastry chef married to an Executive chef of three restaurants I can tell you that I think about food 24/7.  I love to cook and becoming fit has made me a more adventurous cook and eater.  I've taught myself to use herbs and vegetables to flavor food, experimented with grains and produce that I had never even heard of.  I really have become aware of how my body feels after eating well vs. not so well.

Onto that island...  I am a sucker for tacos, sausage and peanut butter.  Not all together of course!

Unicycling on giraffe unicycleSaw the awesome photo of your daughter unicycling - can you do it too?

Isn't she amazing, the giraffe unicycle is taller than she is!  I tried it once, on a short one.  I figured I would go down the hall so I could hold onto to both walls.  Nope I fell off after one pedal.  Didn't she laugh.

Which Tribesports user makes your day?

@nuchi every morning when I first check into tribesports she is always there.

@matteor, @lostineternity99 and @haninger give me the most encouragement
