What Moves You? A group of runners have pulled together to try to explain what it is that drives them to run. Told from the point-of-view of runners from all walks of life, this film will explore the inspiration and motivation that modern cultures associate with running.

This epic idea was brought to our attention by Archie H, an avid runner who figured the rest of the Tribesports community might like to get involved with the project.

A little more about the film and filmmakers:

On the surface, the reasons people run seem obvious; health, stress, competition to name a few. But what if there is a deeper, more intrinsic compulsion that connects people who choose to run for enjoyment regardless of genetic, ethnic, socioeconomic, religious or physical differences?

Runners share an uncommon bond in today’s society, whether it’s through participation in the events or a simple ‘hey’ on an isolated nature trail. We aim to find out what it is.

With breathtaking landscapes, high-profiles races and quirky tribal-like parades as the backdrop, we join hardcore and casual runners alike on their individual journeys to health and wellness, weight loss, triumph, freedom and companionship, with one goal in mind; to find out what moves them.

Everyday more and more people are making running part of their daily routines and part of their lives. So we are setting out on a quest to ask as them just one simple question; What Moves You?

How can you help?

What Moves You are looking for inspirational runners (I think we can all think of a few here on Tribesports), so if you feel that you have a story to share about how running has become a part of your life, then you could become one of the faces that makes up the cast of this inspiring movie. Find out more on their website and help them paint the picture of What Moves You.

Great idea @archieh ! I hated running, I thought my body wasn't built to run and for a long time I couldn't understand why some people would just go out of their house, sometimes in the rain and cold and run around for hours. Tribesports initially pushed me into running - the first runs were difficult (I remember I did my first 5K in a pair of All Star sneakers!) but quickly it became easier, to a point where I was actually enjoying it. It takes some time to see it, or feel it, but running is one of the sports where it's you against yourself. There is no cheating, just the feeling of accomplishment or the feeling that you didn't push yourself enough. You always have the choice to let your body or mind stop you..or decide to listen to the little voice in you saying "don't stop until you're done". I know now that running gives a lot more than it takes. I never regretted going for a run, but always not going for one. That what moves me today.
