Mental Benefits of Sport

Asics Europe have recently performed a study on the reasons people start running and why they then continue with it. 

The original drive to begin running is generally physical - 'I want to lose weight' or 'I want to improve my fitness'. Most of us can probably relate to this goal as a reason to start exercising more frequently, but what is it that makes us continue exercising once we reach our weightloss or fitness goals?

Monday Inspiration: George Eysra - the wooden-legged Olympian!

Oscar Pistorius is not the only athlete with a disability to compete in the Olympic Games; in 1904 George Eyser came away from the Olympics with 6 medals, after competing with his wooden prosthetic leg.  Of course, back then there was no argument as to whether the technology of his prosthesis gave him an advantage!

So far, Team Tribesports hasn't failed to reach a deadline. We're getting close to the end of these Challenges and we need your help to keep our record squeaky clean!

We will not be beaten by the mighty Challenge of Team Bridges - 10,000 minutes was a big ask but not too big for Tribesports!

Spare 5 minutes today, either all at once of broken up to perform a bridge or two for the team.

Be sure to get your form right with these or the bridge police will be onto you!

Opening Ceremony of the Tribe-A-lympics

Whilst supporting your nation in the Olympic Games, you can also do your bit here on Tribesports! The Tribe-A-Lympics will run until the 9th September which covers the entire Olympic and Paralympic games.
