Two minutes standing on a wobble board

Balance and coordination exercises are vital in most sports and this challenge is aimed at developing those core skills. The challenge is to stand feet shoulder width apart and balance on the wobble board for 2 minutes with none of the edges touching the ground. It may sound easy but believe me it’s not; so if you cant do it first time practice, practice, practice.....

Wobble boards/balance boards are designed to improve your proprioception. This is the sense and awareness of the position of our body parts and is widely used as a training device for both skiers and snowboarders. Having good proprioception helps to reduce the risk of injury whilst getting the most out of mountain adventure. Remember to complete this challenge no edges are allowed to touch the ground or you have to start again...

Contributorgold Ron W Got my Reebok wobble board ($18 @ Amazon) and it's great. I've got it in a place where I walk through a lot, and I've been using it by just stopping and doing it as I think about. I already see a big improvement in balance and ankle strength. Highly recommended!

Sarah M Yeay! First challenge I've taken on Tribesports and completed with flying colours :-) Managed a total of twelve minutes and could have gone for longer.

I can verify this, as I was timing. Sarah made it look so easy. I tried again after and managed a poor 31 seconds. Sarah is going to coach me to finish this challenge.

It's a lot more difficult than it looks. The first several times I barely made 10 second, then eventually got to 25 seconds twice. @sarah is about to have a go ...
