Great article and completely true! For the fans of bodyweight only, exercises like pull/chin-ups and other exercises on the bars develop your core and abs just fine. As for me, I like to throw some Hanging Leg Raises or Decline Sit-ups at the end...

Contributorsilver Alan A New here, not sure if this has been addressed before. I'm well aware that as I age I must increase weight training and decrease caloric intake in order to maintain the same bulk as well as definition in my upper body.
Does this same increase in workload with age principle apply to abs or will the same workout continue to provide the same results since shear size/bulk is not the goal in the tummy? Obviously the calories must be cut unless additional energy is burned, but will I have to spend more time and intensity on the ab workouts as I age to maintain?
