Looking to start recording bodyweight workouts in a log. Curious if anyone has found any templates out there. Really would be impressed if anyone knows of a spreadsheet bodyweight log that would have drop down of various exercises in the cell/colu...

Great! You can soon add tougher push-ups and pull-ups variations, pistol squats and such. Parallel bar dips would indeed be a great add to your workouts. About the horizontal pull-ups, don't stress over it. You can get all your upper back training...

Ben S Bodyweight Only Tribe

Contributorgold Ben S I started this journey a month ago with push-ups. I am involved in a challenge to do 75,000 and 100,000 push ups in a year. Since then I started doing others like crunches, leg raises, reverse crunches, jumping jacks, skipping, body weight squats, and burpees. My next exercises will be pull ups when I get a bar to do so, and maybe find a way to do some horizontal pull ups in order to work the upper back.

I am probably speaking to the converted but is this of use. I see so many people with incorrect form for what some will say is a simple push up. Please let me know if the link works and of use.

I've always wondered about the elbows in vs out. I figured it was just a different type of push up but never knew which was the original. The one in the video I do if I want to focus on triceps more (with elbows in).

Martin T and Roomi S encouraged this.

Hi Colleen, thanks for the comment, the push up in the video illustrates what I was taught as a 'normal' push up and in some respects harder to perform and keep the correct form. Thinking about your comment, I liken the push up in the video to performing a parallel bar dip (more focus on triceps). Wider hands means more focus on the chest. Closer such as triangular (diamond?) push up (forefinger and thumb on each hand touching to form a triangle) will put more focus on the triceps. I vary the type of push ups throughout my routines to focus across all muscle groups. I hope I haven't bored you at this point? Happy training!
