Jose S From FAT to FIT Tribe

Jose S Hi all, I see there is many people in this tribe but not much activity going on. I would like to introduce myself here in the hopes of getting back on topic with this tribe which is named "Fat to Fit" and exactly why I joined. 4 years ago I came to a harsh realization that I am holding myself back and slowly killing myself with my life choices. I was 25 years young but had worse health than most people twice my age. I was Obese (33% BF), an alcoholic and a smoker who couldn't climb 5 steps without breaking out in sweat, losing my breath and getting a race pace heart rate. That was my turning point and I made the New Years Resolution of making a change for the better and actually stuck to it as I knew there was no alternatives. I set a goal to reach 10% body fat (which I have never been) and live a healthier life. I educated myself, trained hard, stayed committed and was able to achieve my goal within the first year. Since then I have been able to accomplish more things that I never considered possible and I am loving my new life because of that decision I made so long ago that it feels like a different life. My goal here is to assist and motivate anyone that is wanting to improve themselves for themselves and I just want to let you all know this and mention that you are very welcome to contact me should you be interested in asking me anything ;) Thank you and may you all be blessed! I wish you all the best in your missions!

Thanks Vaunette, I have mailed TS yesterday to inquire as to why they are only focusing on their clothing brand and not on their community website anymore. Still awaiting a response so will see what they have to say (if anything).

I hope you are going to share their reply (if any) Jose

Chris D From FAT to FIT Tribe

Contributorbronze Chris D Finally dragged my sorry butt of the couch and started training. Broke both ankles years back, and used it as an excuse to "sit-out". Done with that, started hiking again to strengthen ankles and get into jogging eventually. Have lost 41 lbs since august of last year, 50 more to go to have BMI under 30 (yup, accepted that challenge as well!) Slow and consistent weight loss will help prevent yo-yo trend, and I make sure not to deny myself my "fav" snacks, just diminished the amount and looked for healthier versions (buffalo cauliflower wings, delicious!)

Prabu P replied to the topic Weight loss

Jogging/running/power walking long distances for long amount of time. Burns fat, breaks down muscle mass, lose water. All round healthy exercise. And it's pretty easy as long as you keep yourself disciplined to do it consistently.

Contributorgold Shelia B I have lost 20 lbs so far and that's great, but I'm still along ways from my goal. So I'm staying very positive and on the task at hand. So for all of you out there don't give up keep going you can do it. And remember you have a great Tribe Family for support and encouragements.

Shelia B From FAT to FIT Tribe

Contributorgold Shelia B As I'm keeping my goal in reach. Each day I know I'm getting closer. I may not always feel the best, but I put on my big girl pants and make my self do it. I like working out I always have. With my injuries it make it more harder to do. But I can do it.

Melinda B From FAT to FIT Tribe

Contributorgold Melinda B Shelia, I agree. Keep your eyes on your goals and do not let anything stop you. I could allow work, my family to stress me or to distract me, but I have a goal in sight. You have to push yourself through that extra minute, push-up, crunch, squat, run,....in the end you will be happy with the results. You will be glad you endured.

Contributorgold Shelia B Ok ladies and gentlemen a little advice. When the world is throwing you curves or walls you can go around it or over it. Its just a force that's trying to stop you for reaching your goals and your dreams. Never stop looking at the stars or reaching for them.

Shelia B From FAT to FIT Tribe

Contributorgold Shelia B My new motto is when I feel my body sweating and burning it's my ( FAT crying out saying stop I don't want to go away ) So I work a lot harder to make it cry more and to go away. Don't give up keep going and don't do it for anybody but you. Only you can make you happy.
