Hi everybody! I currently have been diagnosed with HMS but my GP and I suspect EDS type III instead. I have had surgery to both knees already (I'm 27) - the cartilage of my knee caps is very soft and often inflamed. I luckily have a mild amount of...

Contributorsilver Purl Beads Jo S I went back to wheelchair basketball 2 weeks ago and then again last Tuesday, I played much better this week, I was complimented by some other player which really made me feel 'good' again! I did have some issues with tachycardia afterwards and had to lay down for quite a long time but I survived!!

I also stayed within my dislocation limits and only one of them was BAD .. I dislocated the DIP joint of my middle finger so hard it bent one on my solid silver splints! its a bit sore still to say the least! haha

I've also started back to physio and have a follow up assessment / treatment this afternoon. I've been given another core stability exercise and some stuff for my shoulders but physio isn't holding up too much hope that my shoulders can be stabilised with physio & splinting alone.
Thats me, hows everyone else?

Contributorsilver Purl Beads Jo S Hi Guys sorry I've been absent for a while, I've been a bit of a mess to be honest, I've developed Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome so as well as being a part time wheelchair user, dislocating daily and being chronically tired I'm now fighting pretty much constant tachycardia :D fantastic right? I'm waiting to see a cardiologist but in the mean time its the summer holidays away from uni and I've got time to steal my fitness back from the EDS monster! wish me luck ladies and Gents and I hope your all well!
