There is no such thing as I cannot run because of bad conditions, wearing the right clothing and shoes for the conditions makes running possible in most conditions
Run with thighs not calf muscles so if you slip you are less likely to hurt yourself.
Don’t over dress. I don’t like the cold either but you need to be able to feel the cold when you start running otherwise you are wearing too much. If you sweat it is this that draws away heat from the body and makes you cold.
Different types of snow
Fresh Snow - can hide hidden dangers holes tree roots rubbish etc, always run relaxed and expect the unexpected! This is generally the safest type of snow.If you fail this is the best type of snow to fall onto. Freshly fallen great for shock absorption& kind on your joints but can hide roots or other hazards

Old Snow – re frozen snow or layers of ice and snow. Packed compressed snow can be the most dangerous, it may have layers of frozen thawed and re frozen ice layers.You can easily turn your ankle on the different types of snow and ice.
Ice on top of Snow. -This is the most dangerous best to wait for the ice to melt a little before running on this type.
