parkrun pacemaker

We all love parkrun and we all love getting personal bests...so why don't we advertise ourselves to others who want to be paced to a new parkrun PB?!

I'm chasing my 100 t-shirt and I don't always want to be gunning for a PB especially if I'm racing on the Sunday but am more than willing to 'donate' my parkrun to someone who wants to break the 30 minute barrier etc.At the same time this tribe could help parkrunners who are trying to break the same barrier, at the same parkrun to find each other.

Let's smash those PB's!!!

Jessica L I could do with a 19:30 pacemaker for Saturday (22nd) parkrun. Im not too fussed about the location as lomg as its in London or just outside London (i.e, Watford, Hertfordshire, etc)

You do see 20 minute pacers from time to time but quicker than would be quite rare, probably better just working out who runs around that time at your local and try and keep with them.

Contributorgold Damian B If all goes to plan I should be pacing again this Saturday, 25 mins I think.

20170905220345-smouse

Not sure, I think I'll take my chicken hat just in case though :0) Looks like 2 other pacers at the moment so may be bibs but I just contacted them on the off chance rather than being a pacer week (which I think is the following week).

Contributorgold Brad N I like this idea, park run has really helped me to run faster and I enjoy running with others in the group to support them, or tagging on to someone I know is quicker than me and staying with them for as long as I can, great motivation! I have taken two new people to park run in the last few weeks and they have both really enjoyed it and plan to come back so I may focus on helping them achieve PBs!!

Hey Stuart, have you ever done the Burgess Park run?

No, that's a wee bit of a trek but I'm sure I will soon. There must be a challenge to do all the parkruns within the M25! ;-)

Contributorgold Irfan Q Great idea!... So far I ran 14 parkruns, raced only 3 times, paced in rest of the races. I'm based in Dublin and mostly run in Marlay Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 if anyone interested. I can pace from 20 plus minutes to 30 minutes. As I already told that I only race one out of 5 or maybe 6 times.
