A mom of two young girls making fitness part of family life since 2011. I train in Taekwondo with oldest kid (both camo belts) and helped her complete the Kids Mile Race Series for 2012. I work-out (swim, cycle, karate, and/or run) almost daily. In 2012, I completed my first two sprint triathlons, first regional Taekwondo tournament, first tour cycling event, the Mackinac Bridge Run, first 1/2 marathon, and several 5K running races. Not bad for someone never running an entire mile without stopping before Nov. 2011. Time to focus on core strengthening for a stronger 2013 triathlon / half marathon competition schedule. Thanks for helping with that endeavor TribeSports!

Laura H I love cycling because... Challenge

Contributorgold Laura H I love cycling because of the speeds I can reach with minimal effort. Now that I'm more comfortable going higher speeds, I can enjoy the scenery and see more of it because I can cover more distance on a bicycle over running. At some point during most rides, I forget I'm on a bike and feel like I'm in a slow moving car :-). Love that moment!
